Jan's DT Reveal with Debbie Williams Designs
When I first received the little coaster book from our sponsor this month, Debbie William Designs, I was a little intimidated at first. I haven't made a lot of mini albums in the past but Debbie made it SO easy for me. Included in my package was all the paper and embellishments I needed to complete the entire album - and the best part is, it took less than 2 hours to make! Cool, huh?
Thanks for looking and be sure and check back next month to see who our December sponsor is.

Layout of the week 11/25/09
We all have them - school pictures - Either of ourselves or our kids. If you are anything like me, they are in a box somewhere and after they are brought home they are rarely seen again. That is why this caught my eye in the gallery. This is a wonderful layout actually showcasing what can be done with school photos and make a wonderful keepsake in the process.

Kimberly's November Reveal with My Minds Eye
These papers were a pleasure to work with. The colors are vibrant and attractive. It is wonderful that they have a coordinating paper as well as coordinating so well with different papers in the line. Kimberly was able to use them on a wide variety of pages from pictures she took to help show what she does every day, to a special event to the fall splendor. These papers worked perfectly with all of the layouts.
Kimberly's November Reveal with Debbie Williams
This is the Debbi Williams mini. When Kimberly received it, she immediately thought of a tropical desert paradise which unfortunately she has never had the pleasure to visit. So she decided to make the album of things that were her own very special paradise to her.
The cover was made by adhering the cover and the first page of the album together. This left the image of the palm tree as a well in the cover. She then filled the image with Stickles - Linen Distress Stickles for the trunk and green for the branches.
She has never been to the tropics, and in reality doesn't want to go. Her dream vacation would be someplace warm and sandy, just not the beach. Her travel paradise would be a trip to Israel.
Many years ago there was a show on the radio that would challenge the celeberties who were on that week what books or records they would want to have with them if they were stranded on a desert island. Using the same idea, Kimberly wrote about what book she would want if she could only have one.

If she were going to be in a paradise the thing she would have plenty of would of couse, be time. She speaks to that ever elusive commodity in this part of the album.

Jan's DT Reveal for November
Here is another layout and card using this month's sponsor products - My Mind's Eye. What I love about this paper is that you can mix and match different collections.
For this layout of our new pup Maddy, I used pattern paper from the Little Blossom collection, A Day In The Life collection and Kaleidoscope Girl collection.
For this card I used pattern paper from the Kaleidoscope Boy collection and paper piece a sailboat.

Recipe Challenge: Nov. 16-22
Hope you ladies are up for a challenge this week!! Mine is a recipe challenge & here it is:
~Double page spread
~pop dots
~paint
~memorabilia
~journal on a tag It's kind of hard to tell in the scan, but the obvious is that I did a two-pager.....black paint is spattered over the background with a tooth brush....the ghosties are on pop dots to give a little dimension....I saved & used our ticket & the little card they gave us at the end.....and again, obviously, I did my journaling on a shipping tag which I distressed a bit to fit the LO. Good luck, ladies! Can't wait to see what y'all create this week!!

Cookin' up Creations has joined together with...
Fayetteville Cares in the OPERATION HOLIDAY CHEER program.
Fayetteville Cares is proud to present a community project called Operation Holiday Cheer that will send holiday packages to 15,000 Ft. Bragg soldiers and Pope AFB airmen deployed overseas during December 2009. Operation Holiday Cheer continues the community’s long-standing tradition of supporting soldiers and their families.
We at Cookin' up Creations made over 105 cards for this awesome project to be included in the boxes sent overseas to our soldiers!
Thanks to several members on our site, and the Live, Imagine, Create Website! We even had a few members have their Girl Scout Troop make some, as well as a school teacher who had her students make some. The participation was overwhelming, and I thank each and everyone of you that participated in the great cause!
And here's a picture of some of the cards before I dropped them off this morning!
