I loved this simple layout by Lori! The color scheme was perfect for the sweet pictures. I loved the little cluster of embellishments on the left and the simple title on the right. The design was perfect. Congrats on LOTW Lori!

Weeky Recap July 21 - 25
There have been some great challenges this week at Cookin up Creations forum.
On Meatloaf Monday 7/21, Casey used the TV Show "Saved by the bell" for her challenge. She had many choices of picking on of the characters from that show. You could use a charm; use triangles; use something trendy; use some type of small patterned paper; or create a sports themed layout. And she shared this trendy page.
On Tuesday 7/22, Jan chose "The Dukes of Hazard" show and this sketch and you were to include the colors orange and black and use a flag, banner or pendant.
On Wednesday 7/23, Casey chose the "Big Bang Theory" Jan's page to lift and she wanted us to focus on the character traits of someone and scraplift Jan's page.
Jan's Page and then Casey's lift:
On Thursday 7/24, Tamara used the TV Show "Rookie Blue" and challenged us to make a monochromatic page using blue and use 3 things that stand out. She made some cute baby cards.
Today, Friday 7/25 I chose "I dream of Jeannie" and asked you to use bling and butterflies.
Well there you have it. Lots of fun TV Shows used to create awesome challenges for you to get your scrap on. Have fun, create and head over to the gallery and forum to share. Remember you have until August 5 to upload your take on the daily challenges in order to be eligible for the prize for the month. For each challenge you need to make either one page or two cards.

Weekly challenge recap: July 14--18, 2014
If you haven't seen the NEW Blue Plate Special challenge categories over at the Cookin' Up Creations forum, then hurry on over and join in the fun. The Master Chef Challenge Team members are serving up some fun with our July TV SHOWS theme.
Here's a quick recap of the past week's challenges:
On Meatloaf Monday (recipe challenge), Jan paid homage to "The Real McCoys" by asking us to use black and white photo(s), buttons, a journaling spot and at least three different patterned papers. Here's the layout she created:
Cassy brought us Taco Tuesday (sketch plus a challenge) and based her challenge on the hit series "Bones". She gave us a sketch and asked us to create a Halloween layout with it. Here's Cassy's creation:
Because of the animals and titles, Sherri based her challenge on "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom" as asked us to scraplift Cassy's layout and use the word "WILD" and/or animals somewhere. Here is Sherri's layout:
Take Out Thursday (a focus challenge) was presented by our July Guest Chef, Robin. She recalled the sitcom "Green Acres" in her challenge and asked us to include photos of the great outdoors, along with the color green. Here is her layout:
Did you know that we have a new challenge every day, Monday through Friday? And did you know that every completed challenge earns you one entry into the Dessert Tray prize drawing at the end of the month? And you have until August 5 to complete the July challenges.
Have a great week!

Barb finished the week with Potluck Friday (a stash challenge). She brought us back to the days of the innovative comedy show "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In" and asked us to incorporate a photo of something that makes us laugh into our projects, along with some bits and pieces from our stash. Wild Kingdom - Born to be Wild
Today is soup day - and I get to choose the layout of the week to scraplift. I had baby photos to scrap of Zachary so I searched the gallery and saw this cute baby page by Cassy and chose to scraplift it. I converted it to 8 1/2 x 11 but used the same format and title. Even without photos, it is darling.
The TV Show I chose is "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom". I used to love watching that show as a kid. I haven't seen it in a long time. It was always cool and fun but at times also disturbing to watch (when the animals had meals of other animals!)
So for today's challenge, scraplift something from Cassy or my page and I want to either see the word WILD on your page or have animals on your page. They can be in the photos or on the pp (that's what I did) or the embellishments.
So head over to the forum and join me in this WILD challenge. You have until August 5 to upload a layout or 2 cards for this challenge. If you do a double page layout, it will count twice for the challenge count as long as both pages meet the requirement for the challenge. Have fun and show me your WILD side!

Weekly Recap 7/7 - 7/11
Tamara began the week with Meatloaf Monday (recipe challenge) and challenged us to use photos or pattern paper to create 9 blocks on our project. She also challenged us to use washi tape and any other embellishment of our choice.
Here is Tamara's layout.
Sherri followed with Taco Tuesday (sketch challenge) and challenged us to use this sketch from Stuck?
Sherri also challenged us to make it masculine by using a photo of our dad or someone who is a dad or a male influence.
Here is Sherri's layout.
Barb followed up with Soup of the Day Wednesday (scraplift challenge) and she chose this layout by one of our alumni CT Members, Bev Code.
Congratulations Bev!
And here is Barb's interpretation of Bev's layout.
On Take Out Thursday (focus challenge) Cassy challenged us to get creative with titles.
Here is just one of Cassy's layouts.
And Jan (that's me) ended the week with Potluck Friday (stash challenge) and challenged us to dig deep and use at least 5 different patterned papers on our projects.
Here is my layout using Basic Grey's - Urban Prairie 2008.
And that wraps it up for the week. If you would like to join in on our challenges this month grab your supplies and head on over to the FORUM..

Layout of the Week July 9 -- Bev!
This week on the Cookin' Up Creations forum, we're unveiling some fun new daily challenge categories. The new Soup of the Day Wednesday challenge is a scraplift; each week we'll choose a Layout of the Week and will build a scraplift challenge around it.
This week I chose this lovely layout by Bev (beecee):
I loved her use of the tags behind the photos, as well as the big stitched circle in the backgtound. Bev also has a great eye for embellishment clusters, and this layout is no exception. Please visit Bev's gallery at Cookin' Up Creations and leave her some love!
And while you're there, check out the brand new daily challenge categories on our menu! We're going to a Monday through Friday challenge format, with fun new titles: Meatloaf Monday, Taco Tuesday, Soup of the Day Wednesday, Take Out Thursday and Potluck Friday. And the July theme is TELEVISION SHOWS! Each challenge this month will feature a television show in some way. The deadline for completing the July challenges is August 5; and every completed challenge earns you one entry into the monthly prize drawing. So come on over and join the fun!
