Each Wednesday, our Soup of the Day features one layout from our gallery. The challenge to our scrapbooking friends is to scraplift that layout.
This week, my Soup of the Day pick is this adorable layout by Cassy.
I loved Cassy's layers and all the "bits and pieces" she added to her layout. I also loved her use of pastels with punches of bright color. Here's my take on Cassy's layout:

Soup of The Day: 2/4/2015
Today's Challenge is to scraplift a page I picked from Patti's Gallery. An extra twist is to use an embellishment you love on the page. This will be the Layout of the Week as well.
My take on Patti's page is as follows:
For this challenge, you may make one layout; two cards, four artist trading cards; or an altered paper project. You may complete the challenge more than once, but each entry must be different. Please post your completed project in the gallery and in the Soup of The Day thread. You have until March 3 to complete any challenges.

Our FIRST February challenge!
Our weekday "Blue Plate Special" challenges are back! And no doubt about it -- in February, LOVE IS IN THE AIR!
The title of today's Meat Loaf Monday recipe challenge is "Warm and Fuzzy". For this challenge, I want you to include:
1) something that says "warm and fuzzy" to you -- a paper pattern, a texture, a photo, etc
2) a punched or die cut shape
3) a heart somewhere
For my layout, my "warm and fuzzy" something is a photo of my cat, Ed. I've used some punched circles, and I have heart patterned paper. Here's my layout:

Weekly review October 13-17
A new week of Blue Plate Special challenges starts today on the Cookin' Up Creations forum. Meanwhile, here's a quick recap of last week's challenges. October's theme is "Across the Miles", and our challenge team is finding inspiration in places both near and far.
Tamara presented Meatloaf Monday's challenge. She asked us to include a halo, scrap about somewhere fun, and add a bit of advice or a personal thought to our project. Here is her layout, featuring images from Belize:
On Taco Tuesday, Beth gave us a fun sketch and asked us to include photos from our own town. Here is her layout:
Jan's Soup of the Day choice from our gallery was this lovely layout by member Patti:
As with every Soup of the Day layout, she asked us to be inspired by Patti's example and to scraplift it in some way.
Take Out Thursday's challenge was broCassy. She asked us to use maps to make embellishments for our projects. She used butterfly punches to punch shapes from old maps and used them on this layout:

LOTW - Patti (ksj351) - 10/15
This week I chose this layout by CUC member Patti (ksj351). What I love about this layout.......and so many other layouts of Patti's is her ability to tie everything together.
This particular layout is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. See the beautiful crown on the dogs head? Now take a look at the die cut and feather at the bottom left of the photo. See what I mean. And if that wasn't enough, she went on to add a little bling to really make her layout sparkle.
Congratulations Patti on LOTW!!! If you would like to see more of Patti's work you can visit her gallery HERE.
