It's Make Up Monday again -- and here's a look back at the past week's Blue Plate Special challenges. We're celebrating "Back to Nature -- the Great Outdoors" all this month on the Cookin' Up Creations forum, with a new challenge each day.
Tamara started off the week on Technique Tuesday with a "20 ways to use ribbon" link and a challenge to use at least two different ribbons on our projects. She gave us this example:
On What's New Wednesday, Annette asked us to feature something "new" in our area for fall -- changing of the leaves, start of a new school year, etc. Here is her own layout:
Toss Up Thursday brought us a misted burlap how-to and challenge from Cassy. She gave us this layout using flowers created from burlap and then misted with spray ink:
Friday's Focus was brought to us by Annie, who asked us to feature an activity from our own back yard. Here is her example:
Jo brought us Sketchy Saturday, featuring a sketch from PageMaps. Her challenge was to use the sketch and something that goes "up in the air", such as balloons, birds, clouds, etc. Her own layout used butterflies. The sketch featured balloons:
And our Sunday Inspiration from Sandy was to use nature's colors of brown (earth), blue (sky) and green (plants and grass) on our project. Here is her layout using that inspirational color theme:
The fun is continuing this week on the forum -- be sure to join us! If you complete at least 15 of the September challenges by October 3, your name will be entered into a drawing to win our Dessert Tray prize -- a $25 gift certificate from Flying Unicorn, along with free shipping. So be sure to join us!
