As you know at CUC, this month our Blue Plate Special is Santa's Toyland. I love the jog down memory land of the special toys that I received as a child and the challenges are just as inspirational.
For Technique Tuesday, Annie was inspired by legos and challenged us to use our tiny paper scraps to create a background for our layouts like she did here:
On What's New Wednesday, Sandy remembered puzzles from her childhood and challenged us to create a puzzle type layout using at least 4 different patterned papers on your project and a current trend this year of using either the color mint, border papers, or a fox on a layout. Here is her amazing example:
In Toss up Thursday, Barb challenged us to create a layout inspired by musical toys like she did in this cute layout:
For Focus Friday, Annette remembered the game of Yahtzee and challenged us to create a layout with numbers and a score card like she did here:
Tamara was inspired by alphabet blocks and asked us to create a layout based on this sketch from GCD Studios:
AND the layout needed to have lots of squares or blocks in it like she did in this layout titled "Birds of a Feather."
And finally for our Sunday Inspiration, Michelle challenged us to be inspired by paper dolls like these:
and create a project, card, or layout that had a paper piecing on it. She created these cute cards with some adorable paper piecings:
Remember, each challenge that you complete enters you into a drawing for the final prize this month! Can't wait to see your beautiful work! Happy Monday!
