Make Up Monday 01/06/2014

It's a new year and the Cookin' Up Creations forum is celebrating our usual "out with the old, in with the new" -- but with a twist! The January Blue Plate Special challenges theme is "ScrapLIFT Your Stash". We're scraplifting layouts and projects from our gallery and using up our collection of scrap supplies in addition to the daily challenges.

Here's a review of last week's challenges:

Barb started us off on New Year's Day with a What's New Wednesday challenge to get re-acquainted with a tool we haven't used in a while. She used her wavy paper cutter and scraplifted a layout by Bev to create this layout:

Toss-Up Thursday, brought to us by Bev, included a challenge to use punches and layers. She scraplifted Cheryl's layout and created this one for us:

For Focus Friday, Tamara focused on using bits and pieces of trims from her stash. She scraplifted a layout by Barb for her own example:

New challenge team member Jamie presented a sketch and scraplifted a layout by Tammy for her Sketchy Saturday challenge . She created this card:

Larisa, another newcome to the Master Chef Challenge Team, brought us Sunday's Inspiration. She used a layout by Annie as the inspiration to use brads and fiber to make a string art embellishment. Here is Larisa's layout:

Starting this month, there is a new challenge each day of the month (except Mondays) and you have until the 5th of the following month to complete the month's challenges. Each completed challenge earns you one entry into the Dessert Tray prize drawing at the end of the month. So what are you waiting for? "Scrap your stash" and "scraplift" with us!
