Make Up Monday 8/5/13

It's another month of new challenges here at Cookin' Up Creations. This month our theme is board games. Doesn't that sound like fun? We're off to a great start!

On 8/1 Toss Up Thursday Jeannie started us off with Chutes and Ladders. You can have angles on you pp you can use a picture of a slide or ladder long tube shaped accents or papers - anything goes as long as you have some sort of chute or ladder.

On 8/2 Focus Friday Annie chose to go with Scrabble. Play a little scrabble with your title and build off the words like in the game.

Image

On 8/3 Sketchy Saturday Bev used the game of Scribbage as her inspiration. All the little pegs holes made me think of polka dots.. so using my sketch below the game twist is to use polka dots on your page some where?

On 8/4 Inspiration Sunday Cassy's inspiration is coming from a basic game board element. A spinner! There are many forms of spinners and they come in many shapes and sizes. I just want you to include a spinner of some form to a layout, card, or project as I did here on the layout of my niece giggling!

So come join the fun! You have all month to complete as many of the challenges as you want. Each completed challenge earns you a chance in the prize drawing. So come on and let's play some games!

On Tuesday 7/23 - Embossing
Tracy challenged us to do some embossing. Wet or dry embossing or a combo. Along with the sketch.

Layout of the Week 7/17/13

Beth is unable to post this right now. So, I offered to help her out.  I know that she would love this layout just as much as I do.

This week I choose this layout by Ina. She did an amazing job with the sketch. I love her use of color combo, layering and die cuts work so fantastic together.

For Technique Tuesday, Jan challenged you to use this amazing sketch and add Paint to our project.

In What's New Wednesday, Barb challenged us to use dies with the sketch.

In Toss up Thursday, Cassy inspired us with this sketch and a theme from the poem.

In Focus Friday, Bev wanted to focus on shapes and use at least 3 different ones.

For Sketchy Saturday, Barb wanted us to focused on the banner and use 4 different papers on it and only 1 of which could be cardstock.

And finally for Inspiration Sunday, Tracy inspired us to grab our vacation photos with water and be inspired by them.

OMG what amazing inspiration this week... hope your enjoying all the sketches.. and having some fun creating.
