Chalking Embossed Images and Creating Backgrounds

While I was browsing the web I ran across THIS You Tube video tutorial on using chalks to color dry embossed images.

Here's an example:

You can also create one of a kind backgounds just by using chalks and a cotton ball. Here I punched a small circle out of white paper and adhered it to my cardstock using repositionable adhesive. I then used chalks and cotton balls to rub color onto my cardstock in a circular motion. Once I was done, I sprayed my background with hair spray to set the chalks. I then removed my punched circle and stamped my image over the top. I really pleased with the way it turned out, but I think the card needs a little something else.....maybe some black cord and silver beads.

Anywho, here's my example.

I hope you enjoyed this months chalk techniques and I was somehow able to inspire you enough to pull out those old pastels and give them another try.

Note: I used chalks by Craf-T Products on my projects.
