This Weeks DT Reveal
If you have not been to the forums and seen the great work by the DT this week, then I am here to give you a look. We have products from Reminsice and the Etsy shop twogilrzstuff. Lots of fun goodies! And here is the reveal
First of we have Tabitha's reveal and she was asked to do two (2) cards for us this week.
What a Blast:
I used the Stars and Stripe Reminisce Line and Stickers and added a little Glitter Factory as well.
Happily Ever After:
I used the Little Red Riding Hood line for this along with the gorgeous stickers I think they just tell the story so well and
then I added a label from twogirlzstuff.
Next up is Shawna who was asked to do a layout.
These papers were perfect for a "Daddy's Little Princess" page. The light blue label also matches perfectly. This layout really came together easily with these fun products!
Next up is Jo, who was also asked to do a layout this week.
I was so excited for my layout this week. I took this picture of my daughter doing a header at a game and wasn't going to use it because it was from the back. But when I looked closer at the look on the goalie's face, I decided I couldn't pass it up. Luckily I had this great soccer paper and sticker set from Reminisce to make the perfect page!
I also used Thickers letters and some stickles to make the page sparkle!
And next up is Sandy, who was asked to create an altered project for us.
I have to say I have really enjoyed working with the different products from Reminisce and Twogirlzstuff.
This week I made an Altered Artist canvas panel to showcase some of the fabulous Reminisce items.
I started with the white canvas and just sporadically poured red and white acrylic paint onto it and took my paint brush and went to work covering the cancas. This created a different toned pink background which was perfect for the Fairy Tales line. After the paint dried, I decided to use the Castle in the Sky and the Mirror Mirror patterned papers to cover the lower portion of the canvas. I used the big castle sticker from the sticker sheet and adhered it to a piece of vellum because I know I wanted to pop-dot it to make it more 3-D and I didn't want the sticky back to attract other stuff. I also did the same for the flower stickers. Then I cut them all out. I added some glitter glue to the cloud and flags of the castle and buttons to the center of the flowers. After adhering my ribbon I pop dotted the castle and flowers to the canvas. I also cut out Snow White from one side of the patterned paper and pop-dotted her to the canvas and added a Kaiser Craft Rhinestone to the flower in her hair. Now all I needed to add was a "title". I used MM glitter alphabet stickers for the word Sweetheart but for Princess I printed the word Princess on the back (mirrored so it printed backwards) of a piece of the Jetsetter Black Glitter Factory paper by Reminisce and hand cut it out. I would have went the easier route and cut it on my Cricut had I had the font I wanted but didn't. The reason I titled this Sweetheart Princess is because from the very beginning DH has called DD his Sweetheart princess. I wanted to use a recent picture of the two of them together on this, but couldn't find the time to get a good one when they both looked decent...LOL So instead I used this one from DD's past birthday where she got a make-over and they put a crown on her :)
I loved making this canvas and plan to do even more of them sometime soon.
And next up is Patti who has created two (2) layouts for us this week.
For our last week of designing with Reminisce products I created two LOs. The first one is using the Stars and Stripes collection and Glitter Factory. The second one is done with the Real Sports baseball diecut.
Thanks Reminisce and Twogirlzstuff for your generous and wonderful products!
And next up is Nordica with a layout using the Real Sports Line.
I have really enjoyed using the Reminisce Real Sports papers and stickers! It has been so easy to make adorable sports themed layouts, and when you have two boys active in several different sports it's great to find fun and inspiring sports themed products like these! I had so much fun with this week's reveal layout, and I was bummed that we had several gloomy days so I wasn't able to get a good natural lighting shot. I got one clear picture that the gorgeous glitter didn't pick up in, and one blurry shot with all my sparkle, LOL. This layout is my oldest son's T-ball portrait and I used Reminisce Real Sports Baseball shaped paper with great texture in the stitches, Reminisce Glitter Factory paper in Shimmering Rubies, an adorable journaling tag from twogirlzstuff, Queen&Co. Felt Fusion, Sandylion Dimensional Stickers, Stickles in True Blue and Xmas Red, misc cardstock, and misc brads. TFL!!
And last, but not least, we have Cassie's reveal for us this week.
Here is the last reveal for the month of September. I used Reminisce bowling and bowling ball papers to scrap my daughter's photos of her Glow Bowling Party. Glow Bowling is where the lanes are lit up and they play rock music and videos on the big screen. The black lights make everything light glow. I also used some DCWV pp's for the trim and photo mounts. The bowling pins and stars are hand drawn (sketchy look) to give it a comic book kinda feel. TFL!

Layout of the Week - Barb Prendergast
My eyes kept coming back to Barb's beautiful layout this week. I loved the color choice, the way her photos took center stage, the beautiful combo of lace and ribbon, floral embellishments, vintage theme, the design and so much more. I know you will feel the same way when you take a peek at her amazing layout.

Penny N's Bewitching Reveal
Thank to our sponsor Designs by Krista for another wonderful kit called Bewitching. Along with the kit I used a set of templates by Chrissy W, Elemental Scraps, called Flying Solo, Take 2. I do love Chrissy's templates and they made my digital scrapping with this beautiful kit a snap! And I like how they all look, so perfect together as a set, even though they are different subjects. Hope you do too; enjoy the pages!

More fabulous DT Reveals...
Hello. It has been another wonderful week here at Cookin' Up Creations. As stated last week, the design team is fortunate enough to be working with Reminisce and Twogirlzstuffthis month. Let me tell you, you should definitely check out all the fabulous products available from both of these sponsors, you won't be sorry. However, instead of me babbling on about how fabulous it all is, why don't you check out all the awesome work by the DT.
First up is Cassy. She created two wonderful sports themed layouts.
Next up is Tabitha. Check out this adorable altered CD she created:
Next we have the wonderful Patti. She created an awesome LO using Reminisce's The Wild Collection
The very creative Jo created a LO using Reminisce's Stars and Stripes Collection as well as Twogirlzstuff labels. Check it out:
The ever creative Shawna created this awesome LO using the Fairy Tale Line from Reminisce:
This week, I created 2 cards using Twogirlzstuff labels:
I love these labels. On the bottom card, I even ran the label through a cuttlebug and embossed it. It did fabulous being embossed.
And that leaves us with Nordica. She was to create an altered item and this what she came up with:
Make sure you check out the gallery for our September sponsors: Sponsor Spotlight Gallery to see even more wonderful things created with these two sponsors.
First up is Cassy. She created two wonderful sports themed layouts.
I decided to create two layouts that were both sports related. I used the Reminisce softball as a base for this layout and embellished and titled my page using some of the 3-D stickers. I also used some paper scraps, Bazzill, TT alphabet Stamps, stickles, the journaling spot behind the title from twogirlzstuff and more. The background paper is also Reminisce that I had in my stash from a few years ago. TFL! |
I altered a CD to out up on Chace's Door for his bedroom. I used THE Wild line from Reminisce on this as well as the stickers. I had fun hanging the monkey from the ribbon and making a a flower out of the leaves. I also used the Journal Tage from TwoGirlzstuff and alpha letters fromt he Real Sports line. |
Next we have the wonderful Patti. She created an awesome LO using Reminisce's The Wild Collection
When I saw Reminisce's "The Wild" papers, I knew they would be perfect for these pictures of my little monkey! Reminisce has created coordinating patterns in great colors making it easy to create fun LOs plus they give you the little words on the cut off strip adding even more value for your money! Be sure to check out their website for this fun line of a papers. |
I used the Remininse Stars and Stripes patterned papers and stickers for this Fourth of July layout. These papers were so fun to work with! The tags under the title are from twogirlzstuff etsy store and went with the paper perfectly. I decided it needed a little bling so I added some Glitter Factory Paper in Shimmering Rubies and Saturday Night Sapphire that I cut with my cricut. |
Shawna says she even challenged herself to do a layout without patterned paper. I think she did a wonderful job! |
This week, I created 2 cards using Twogirlzstuff labels:
I love these labels. On the bottom card, I even ran the label through a cuttlebug and embossed it. It did fabulous being embossed.
And that leaves us with Nordica. She was to create an altered item and this what she came up with:
I had so much fun with this Reminisce "The Wild" and "Glitter Factory" paper that I had to do more than one altered item this week!! "The Wild" is so cute and there is so much you can do with it. And "Glitter Factory" is just so pretty and versatile. And the cute little journaling tag from twogirlzstuff was the perfect addition to the fun colors on the picture frame. |
