Jan's August Reveal

This month the design team had the opportunity to work with a generous portion of stickers donated by SRM Stickers!  If you've never tried these stickers before then I urge you to do so.  What I really liked about these stickers is that they are clear and you can easily lay them over pattern paper!

Here's what I came up with this month.

Thanks for looking and be sure to check out the Cookin' Up Creations gallery to see what the rest of the design team came up with.  And don't forget to check out the SRM blog for even more inspiration!

Make-Up Monday (8-30-10)

Welcome to another wonderful week here at Cookin’ Up Creations. We hope that you have been able to play along with the awesome challenges posted this week, but in case you haven’t, here is a recap of the challenges just waiting to have your creative spin on them:

This week for Technique Tuesday Robin challenged us to layer border punches, and even threw in a bonus sketch.

On What’s New Wednesday, Barb showcase one of the hottest new trends…banners.

For Transformation Thursday I posted about an altered chipboard album I have plans to use as a gift for my loving hubby.

On Friday’s Focus, Tabitha challenges us to add a splash of color to our LO by using journaling jots.

For our Sketchy Saturdays, Jo provided us with a sketch from the Sketch This blog

And finally for this week on Inspirational Sundays, Nordica challenged us to find inspiration from our families.

You can check out more detail about each challenge, as well as see the inspiration pieces posted by checking out our Blue Plate Special forum right here:

I’m really looking forward to seeing how you interpret each of these challenges and make them your own.

Blue Plate Specials

Something NEW is happening at Cookin' Up Creations! Every day a Blue Plate Special is posted by someone from our Design Team, our Guest Design Team, our Chef of the Month or our Creative Team. There are Inspirational Sundays, Make-Up Mondays, Tuesday's Techniques, What's New Wednesdays, Thursday's Transformations, Friday's Focus, and Sketchy Saturdays....a whole week filled with challenges, inspiration, tips and techniques and even a catch up day! You won't want to miss a day of it!

Here's a taste of what's been cooked up so far.

Shawna served up her BPS with the split sketch she created.

It's Saturday and what better way to start off the day than with a new sketch. This is one I put together. It is a 12x12 sketch but please feel free to convert it to your size! I wanted to do something a little different with this one so I split the layout into two sections. I hope that you like the sketch and I can't wait to see what you come up with!

And her fun summer LO.

Today Tabitha brought us some yummy inspiration......who couldn't be inspired by both of these great LOs!

Her inspiration.I was totally inspired by Keisha Campbell's blog and just love her work. I chose the layout below because it was done with white and I think that when you use white it makes your pictures look crisp and clean. I love the way she used white on white with just a small touch of color. I hope you will be inspired as much as I was. Can't wait to see what you create.

And her beautiful LO.
Drop in and visit us at Cookin' Up Creations...there's a Blue Plate Special waiting for you!

Jen's Design Team Reveal- Core'dinations and SRM Stickers

This month we got to work with Core'dinations again and then we also had a very large assortment of SRM stickers to work with. I really enjoyed working with everything. Here is what I came up with. Enjoy

For this layout I used the Core'dinations paper as my background and used a sanding block on the edge for a grungier look.

I kept this card simple by using a file from the Basic Grey file set to sand small lines on the core'dinations cardstockThis layout I used the core'dinations cardstock as a background and the papers and die cuts are made by Carolee's Creations.

Recipe book. used a small Chipboard book and the pages inside are using the core'dinations cardstock.

This card is made using 7gypsies patterned paper, bazzill cardstock, SRM stickers and a jolees Boutique pacifier embellishment
October afternoon patterned paper, SRM Stickers, Making Memories flourish and Bazzill Cardstock.

August Reveal - Penny H

I had so much fun this month playing with the sponsors for August. Designs by Krista was one sponsor and Bugaboo Stamps was the other one.

First off, here are my pages with Friends by Designs by Krista.

And we also got to pick an image from Bugaboo Stamps. I had the hardest time deciding and went with Stella - HardDrive. I used it as a digital image for my digi layout.

Two great sponsors this month!!!! Make sure you check out Designs by Krista and Bugaboo Stamps to see all the wonderful designs that they have.
