Layout of the Week - Sherri Priest!

I have to admit it's always so hard to pick just one layout for The Layout of the Week....I seriously dread it when it's my turn...but a girl must do what a girl must do...lol, man up and just pick one!

This week I picked this layout by Sherri as I just love everything about it....from the colors, to the beautiful little girl, the theme (yay - Christmas is coming) and I even love the hexagons (still a big fan of them!).

Congratulations Sherri on having the Layout of the Week!

Welcome to another Make Up Monday! Can you believe it -- Thanksgiving is this week! We've been loving the "Home Is Where the Heart Is" challenge theme this month. Remember --- the last challenge this month will be November 25, then you will have the rest of the month to get your challenges completed. Every completed challenge will earn you one entry into the Dessert Tray prize drawing!

We started off the week on Technique Tuesday with Annette's Fiesta Ware-inspired challenge to draw our own ideas from a dinnerware set (our own or one we remember) and to make a large embellished tag to use on our project. Here is Annette's layout:

What's New Wednesday brought us Tamara's challenge to use something that's new to us (less than a year old) and to include photos of our family's breakfast experience. She created this layout of breakfast at a French toast buffet with her hubby:

For Toss Up Thursday, Cassy asked us to include a quote or definition about friendship on our project. Here is her creation:

Michelle's Friday challenge focused on Thanks; she asked us to create thank you cards and to include some kind of hand doodling on them. Here are her examples:

For Sketchy Saturday, Jo remembered the clothing her mother sewed for her and asked us to use some type of sewing on our project, as well as this PageMaps sketch:

We ended our week with Cassy's fun Sunday Inspiration challenge. She included the link to a tutorial for making "sliding door cards" filled with candy. Here are her examples:

This week, we also had an Hors d-oeuvres Tray challenge by Jo, including a link to a tutorial, for making lovely gift boxes like this one:
