MakeUp Monday 1/28

What a great month we have had all month long here at  cookin up creations!  It has been great to use up all the items in our stash.  If you are like me you could do this for another six months.  We are finishing up the month with some great challenges!  Here’s a recap...

She showed us a great technique to make flowers.  Her challenge was to create 10 flowers or create 1 and use it on a layout.

What's New Wednesday -1/22/13 Get your Rub on By Annie C.

Annie challenged us to drag out those rub ons and use at least 2 on a layout.  Here is her example for the challenge..

Toss Up Thursday 01-24-13 Journaling Labels By Annette

Annette pointed out that journaling tags are going to be big in 2013.  She challenged us to create journaling tags with our stash.  Here are her examples

Friday's Focus 1/25/2012: Pop it Up By Barb P

Barb reminded us how great pop dots are.  Her challenge was for us to create a layout and use pop dots on it to give it dimension. Here is her sweet example

Saturday started our catch up time before the end of the month.  Remember each project gets you an entry into this months prize.  Make sure you upload your projects and link them back to each individual challenge to receive credit.

Be ready to get your cookin on next month with our recipe challenges.

For Technique Tuesday this week, Annette challenged us to use the negative parts of our chipboard pieces, die cuts, background pieces, etc.  Here is her adorable boy layout to inspire you!

What's New Wednesday this week challenged us to break out our our chipboard shapes and use them up as Annie did here on this sweet layout:

For Toss up Thursday, Barb inspire us to use the current fashion trends of stripes, ruffles and flounces, and black and white as she did with this layout:
Tamara challenged us on Focus Friday to brown bag it and use up the small brown baggies or make our own as she did here:
Sketchy Saturday provides two "use up your scraps" card sketches to encourage us to rebuild our stash of cards for the upcoming year.

And here are Cassy's examples:
And finally for Inspirational Sunday, Michelle inspired us to break out those old paper scraps, no not those, the old old old ones, and use them as she did here:

Make Up Monday 1-7-2013!

We are starting this year off with some great challenges....All based on this month's theme
of using up your stash!!!

On Tuesday, Barb asked us to "make new friends and keep the old" and encouraged us to combine something NEW from our stash with something OLD (6 months or more) and to layer or overlap at least three embellishments. Here is her example:

For What's New Wednesday, Tamara combined the old technique of painting on a photo with the new product of Washi Tape...  with some fun results:

On Toss up Thursday, Cassy asked us to use our scraps to make tags!!  Here are some
of her adorable projects!

For Friday's Focus, Michelle asked us to go to our flower stash and use at least 5 on our layouts!  Here is one of her great examples:

For Sketchy Saturday, Jo gave us this sketch from Pagemaps:

and her layout:

and Sunday's Inspiration from Annette was to use triangles of old papers to create an
 amazing layout:

So keep up the great work and use up that stash!!!! Remember that each layout, 2 cards or 4 tags you do for a challenge will get you a chance at our monthly prize!!!!
