Shabby Princess' Clementine Kit

Hi! Wanda, here, wishing you a Happy Thursday and saying thanks for peeking at my reveal with the beautiful Clementine kit generously donated by Shabby Princess. This is really a beautiful kit with a gorgeous color combination of tomato-red, turquoise, gold and off-black.

Here are the pages I created with it:

This year marked my 24th wedding anniversary, and my husband gave me 24 beautiful roses. I used a template from Scrap Orchard's June challenges to create the page, as well as a little camera and string from the Orchard's June Mega Kit. The beautiful clustering around the bottom photo is mostly one piece from the kit! So easy to create a complicated look, right?

Now this is a page about my beloved dogs Scrappy and Chloe, occupied with their favorite activity: Lap Time! Check out the alpha that came with this kit. It is really one of my favorites! I love it when you get a coordinated alphabet in a kit, don't you?

My hubby has become a runner, and here he is after his first half-marathon. This kit has rich colors that make great masculine pages. And I love the bingo card; it is such a versatile accent.

My friend Janet hosted a grad party for Sarah this past May, and I snapped this pic of the two of them. I just love the beautiful tomato-red in that background paper, and the stitching that comes with the kit. I made a little cluster of ribbon, button, journal spot and cardboard tag to hold the date and journaling on this title-less page. The cardboard tags in this kit look fabulous!

I hope you enjoyed my reveal and are maybe a little bit inspired by my pages. Please go visit Shabby Princess and feast on all the beautiful kits and the layouts created with them. You will be glad you did!

Robin's July DT Reveal ~ Core'dinations Cardstock & My Sentiments Exactly Stamps!

I had so much fun working with both of our sponsors this month!! My Sentiments Exactly stamps are wonderful to work with, and give a clear, crisp impression every time! I know I'll be reaching for this stamp set over and over again!!

And the Core'dinations Cardstock is amazing! I have been wanting to use it since it was first released on the market, but never got the chance. So, needless to say, I was SO excited when I saw the generous pack they sent.... The Trifecta 3! It included cardstock from the Black Magic Collection, Core Essentials Collection AND their Vintage Collection!! I had so much fun embossing & sanding to bring out the "core" of this fun cardstock!  And, of course, it was a perfect match with my Cricut too!

For me, I felt that these two sponsors made a perfect pair!  I hope you enjoy my creations! You can see listings of all that was used on these projects in the Cookin' Up Creations gallery.

Jan's Core'dinations Cardstock and MSE Reveal

This month the design team had the opportunity to work with Core'dinations Cardstock and My Sentiments Exactly stamps. I want go into all the details because a couple of the other DT members have already done that....... but I will tell you this, both sponsors were extremely generous! Coredinations Cardstock sent us and entire slab of Trifecta 3 cardstock featuring the new Black Magic collection - these papers can be sanded, torn or embossed! And the My Sentiments Exactly stamps are simply fantabulous! These little acrylic stamps accept ink sooo well and leave a good impression every time you stamp......I can definitely see myself using these little gems over and over!

Okay, enough jibber jabber......on to my reveal!

First up, is a layout of my grandson Jackson using the Black Magic cardstock that I sanded to add a little distressing to the background paper and the green Core Essentials cardstock....both are by Core'dinations Cardstock.

and here are a few cards featuring My Sentiments Exactly acrylic stamps and Core'dinations Cardstock.

Thanks for looking and be sure to scroll down or check out the Cookin' Up Creations gallery to see what the rest of the design team did.

Angela's Reveal: My Sentiments Exactly "MSE!" (July 2010)

My Sentiments Exactly (MSE!) is one of our two sponsors for the month of July. Not only did they send the design team a pack of clear stamps to create with but they were also kind enough to include a 3x4 clear stamp block. The stamps are really wonderful with quite a few sentiment phrases and words but I was VERY excited about the block. Here's the reason why: years ago, when I purchased my first set of stamps... I went with a small pack of really cheap blocks to use with them... BIG mistake because they didn't have the edge around the block for placing your fingers. This may sound like a small thing but it makes a world of difference!!! This block was perfect and made stamping much more enjoyable because I didn't have to worry about it slipping out of position from my hold as I'm pressing down.

My pack of stamps were the SYMPATHY sentiments...

Below are the cards that I used these amazing clear stamps and clear block on. The pictures are a bit blurry since it's cloudy and rainy here...

Angela's (July 2010) Core'dinations Cardstock Reveal

Core'dinations was also kind enough to be our Sponsor for the month of July. They were very generous... They didn't send us a few sheets of cardstock to create with, no siree...... they sent a HUGE slab of their core'dination papers!!! These are designed to emboss and sand, tear, etch, or use them just as they are. Our pack (the Trifecta 3) included three collections, all with totally different textures and they are:s Black Magic--colors covered in black, Core Essentials--monochromatics, and Vintage Core--a worn look. Please be sure to visit their website because they have tutorial videos on how to use each type of cardstock.

For this card, I used Core'dinations Black Magic cardstock (torn down side to show reverse color and also sanded edges, as well as the spine of the card). Used dry embossing stencil to create the bucket of hearts on a sheet of Core Essentials CS, which I then trimmed out. Also pink heart trimmed out, then chalked and glittered.

For this layout, I used Core'dinations Vintage Collection CS for the background. I distressed the edges, torn places so that the underside color would be visible and roughened up the base color with sandpaper for more of a worn look. For the photo matte, I proceeded with a sheet of Black Magic and tore the edges instead of trimming.

For this layout, I used Core'dinations Core Essentials for background with edges distressed. For the Photo Matte, I used the Vintage Collection torn down one side and antiqued with sandpaper. Last, I also used a sheet of the Vintage Collection for dry embossing the Lemonade pitcher and glass, I then proceeded to touch up with chalking and trimmed around the edges.
