Hello Creative Friends – for today’s Blue Plate Special challenges we will be inspired by this Nursery Rhyme: If All The World Were Paper.
If all the world were paper,
And all the sea were ink,
If all the trees
Were bread and cheese,
What should we have to drink?

We will be focusing on the ink and paper part. Mostly on misters’ paint based or ink (dye) based. Check the challenge for more detail on our site Cookin' Up Creations.
For this challenge use a paint, ink or shimmer mist on your project. Now if that’s just not your thing how about using Ink and a stamp on your project. Your stamped image has to be colored with any of the following: color pencils, watercolor, paint, Copic markers or any other markers you may have.
For this challenge please create 1 layout (any size) or 2 cards. Be sure to link us your creation by either leaving us a comment with a link or posting in our gallery over at the Cookin' Up Creations site

Tuesday July 3, 2012 Hello~

My name is Tamara Reed.  I live in South Jordan, Utah with my DH.  We have been married for 34 years.  We have two grown children and three darling grandchildren.  I also work full time as a Dental Office Manager.  Scrappping is my life so being here at Cookin' up Creations puts me right in my element.  I  Love everything here from the challenges to the people to the gallery of inspiration.  I scrapbook chronologically, but branch out every now and then to create layouts of the grandchildren.  If all my pages were in books there would be no room on the shelves in my house.  LOL  It is all of you that keeps my enthusiasm for scrapping going.  Thank you to Shawn and Tammy for this awesome site.  They are truly the greatest!  Thanks for allowing me to be a small part of Cookin up Creations!

Make up Monday July 2, 2012

Hi!  Just thought I would share with you what everyone is up to in our last week of this amazing Birthday Celebration here at Cookin' Up Creations.

On Tuesday Jeanie shared with us Bring in the clowns.  She challenged us to create a layout about a funny story using Red, Blue, Yellow and Green.

Wednesday we were challenge to create a layout of something "Then and Now" by Amy, here is her example

Thursday it was time to create a big date using a large number.  Rebecca chose the #17

Friday we focused on getting some Bling on your project.  Patti shared this adorable page.

Saturday we ended our party with a toast challenge by Jo to use a quote on your layout.

That brings us to Sunday, a new month and a new theme.  For the month of July we will be sharing Nursery Rhymes.  I can't wait to see what the Challenge team comes up with.  Annette started us off with Hey Diddle Diddle and challenged us to use 3 buttons and at least one crescent shape in any form.  See where your inpiration takes you and create your first nursery rhyme layout today!
There is much more to follow so grab your crafting powers and get ready to accomplish alot this summer.

My Scrappy Story

Hello all!  My name is Cassy Suszek and I am proud and pleased to introduce myself today as a new member of the amazingly inspiring Cookin' Up Creations Challenge Team!

I am a wife, mother of two - Felix 16 and Hannah 13 - and a middle school math teacher to many.   My hobbies include scrapbooking, hiking, geocaching, traveling (especially anywhere warm), reading children's books, and spending time with my family and friends.  I love to scrapbook and alter items and can't wait to inspire you to create beautiful layouts.  I wouldn't say that I really have a scrapbooking style.  I am very eclectic in my scrapbooking and love to try new techniques and ideas.  I do like to focus on my photos and will often scrap in brighter colors, although I think that it depends on my mood!

Here is a layout about me:
And a few other layouts to share my "style."

I can't wait for a chance to inspire and motivate you to try a new technique or create something unique. Please come join us this month for some "Nursery Rhyme" themed inspiration and play along for some great prizes in our Blue Plate Special Forum!  And feel free to check out my blog as well!

Hi Everyone!  My name is Michelle and I am a new challenge team member for Cookin Up Creations.  I thought I would take a few minutes and introduce myself.

I live in the Pacific Northwest. I am so happy to be part of the Challenge Team here at Cookin Up Creations.  I have been happily married to my husband Russ for over 12 years.  We have an old kitty that rules our house.  I work full time for a wholesale apparel dealer.  Thanks to my good friend Linda who introduced me to scrapping, I have been scrapping for about 10 years.  When I am not scrapping or crafting my husband and I like to spend time exploring.  We move to Washington about 2 years ago and there is so much to see here.  We love to explore, fish and just spend time out on our boat. I’m excited to be here and can’t wait to create with everyone.

Here are some of my favorite layouts

Still time to join the party!

Our third  Birthday Bash Celebration is entering its final week on the Cookin' Up Creations forum. If you haven't stopped by yet, there's still time to join the party! A new challenge goes up daily, with plenty of others from throughout the month to choose from. The deadline will be in early July, so you can still get in on the prize drawings, too!

Our party guests are turning out some fantastic layouts and projects. Here's a cutie from Nikki Dee, in response to the June 2 Challenge -- "Have Your Cake and Eat It Too":

Our June "Chef of the Month", Annette, created this bright page for the June 7 "3-6-5" Challenge, featuring 3 photos, 6 buttons and 5 different paper strips:

You can still get in on the Birthday Bash Banquet menu challenge, all of the daily challenges, and many of the games. So what are you waiting for? Put on your party hat (or .... you can make one for our June 11 challenge) and come on over!

Layout of the Week 6/20/12 -- ScrappyJo!

Master Chef Challenge Team member Jeannie chose this gorgeous layout by fellow team member Jo as our Layout of the Week for June 20.

Jeannie said,

"I chose this layout because I looked at our gallery three times today, and it just kept popping out at me! I love all the colors and pretty embellishments. They work so perfectly with the pictures of the dress."

Congratulations, Jo!

You can see this layout and a whole display of others by our creative members at the Cookin' Up Creations Forum Gallery. And be sure to check out our month-long Birthday Bash Celebration, with a new challenge EACH DAY, games and more. Join in the fun on our Forum.

Have a great week!
