Her work has quickly become a favorite around here and has been chosen for layout/card of the week on several occasions!

Please help me Congratulate Jan as our Chef of the Month for October 2009!

Short Bio:
I’m a carolina girl born and raised and I have been fortunate enough to live in Texas, Illinois and Tennessee for a short time. I’m married to a very patient man, Jack who tolerates all my scrap crap. I have one teenage son, Kyle and 3 fur babies – Tommy, Lulu and Zoey.

How long have you been scrapbooking?
I was introduced to rubber stamping and scrapbooking during my stay in El Paso, Texas and although I wasn’t immediately hooked, I was an avid collector. It wasn’t until we moved back home in Feb. of 2005 that I started taking it more seriously. I guess when you live in a small rural town there really isn’t nothing else to do.

What are your favorite techniques and products?
My favorite technique is distressing and my favorite products would have to be ink and buttons – I love buttons!

What other hobbies are you involved in besides scrapbooking?
Card making, rubber stamping, photography. Oh, and shopping for scrap supplies – yes, I’ve made a hobby out of shopping!

Are there any Designers that inspire you?
No one person in particular. I get most of my inspiration from online galleries and blogs.

What project are you working on now?
Cards

What are 3 words that describe you?
Happy, funny and outgoing.

What 5 things will you always find in your purse?
My wallet, keys, small notepad (I’m always making a list), pen/pencil and a pink dog collar – and that’s no joke. Anyone who knows me, know that Lulu usually goes everywhere I go and I have a fear of breaking down on the side of the road and having to walk. So I keep her dog collar in my purse and I have a leash in every car. And my purse strap will also make a leash in a pinch.

Can you describe your scrapping space and share a photo.
It’s small, cramped and usually very messy but I cleaned it up so I could take a pic of it. lol.

Please share with us your all time favorite layout and why.
This layout is my all time fave because of it’s clean and simple design, the splashes of red - which just so happens to be my favorite color. And yet, the photo is still the focal point.

Please take a moment to check out some of her other amazing creations in the gallery, and be sure to leave her some much deserved "gallery love".
