Make Up Monday 08/19/2013

The Cookin' Up Creations Master Chef Challenge Team hopes you're enjoying our month of Board Games inspired challenges! Just in case you've missed anything, here's a recap of the past week's Blue Plate Special challenges:

On Technique Tuesday, Cassy used the game "Connect Four" as inspiration and asked us to connect two things in some way on our projects. Here is her example layout:

Cassy also brought us What's New Wednesday's "Battleship" inspired challenge, which called for using a nautical item on our projects. She used a red, white and blue color scheme and a handcrafted buoy for her layout:

Bev's Toss Up Thursday challenge played homage to the game "Yahtzee". Bev gave us a "straight" in her challenge: 1 toothpick, 2 arrows, a cluster of 3 things, 4 different colors and 5 different accents. Here is her example:

Barb brought us Focus Friday's challenge. We played "Pin the Tail on the Donkey" by including at least two pins in our projects. Here are her examples:

Tracy brought the party game "Twister" to her Sketchy Saturday challenge. She used this sketch by Liz Qualman:

She asked us to include at least 3 circles, 3 primary colors and some arrows on our projects. Here is her layout:

We ended the challenge week on Sunday, when Jan asked us to use the box from the Game of LIFE as our inspiration. And here is Jan's layout:

There are still plenty of game inspired challenges to come this week; and you have until September 3 to complete the August challenges. Each completed challenge earns you one entry into the Dessert Tray prize drawing. So what are you waiting for? Come on over to the Cookin' Up Creations forum and play!

And be sure to mark your calendars for September, when the challenge team goes BACK TO SCHOOL!
