Make Up Monday 12/23/2013

Well, here we are: It's CHRISTMAS WEEK!

We hope you've been enjoying our "25 Days of Christmas" challenges here on the Cookin' Up Creations forum. Here's a quick recap of the past week's challenges.

We started off the week with Technique Tuesday. Cassy asked us to journal inside a shape. She gave us a lovely example in which she created a star shape and journaled inside of it:

What's New Wednesday brought us Bev's tutorial for making folded and stitched paper ribbon. She challenged us to use our newly created paper ribbon on a project. Bev showed us two cards in which she used this new technique beautifully:

Barb's Toss Up Thursday challenge asked us to use a Christmas message or word art on our projects -- it could be a sticker, patterned paper, stamped, or whatever else we wanted to create. She used messages cut from patterned paper on two cards:

On Focus Friday, Tracy's focus was on adding sparkle and bling to our projects. She gave us this beautiful example:

We do love our Sketchy Saturday challenges, and Jan did not disappoint us! She brought us a fantastic sketch from Pinterest and used it to create this adorable layout of a canine friend:

Annie concluded our week on Sunday Inspiration. She gave us a collage of ornament photos as inspiration to inspire our own projects and asked us either to feature ornaments on our project or to highlight a photo of a favorite ornament. She created this beautiful example:

Watch for new challenges on Tuesday and Wednesday. The deadline for the December challenges is January 3, so you will have a few more days to complete your projects for a chance at the Dessert Tray prize. And we're pleased to announce that in January, we will be offering new challenges every day of the month (except Mondays) instead of stopping at the 25th.

On behalf of the entire Master Chef Challenge Team here at Cookin' Up Creations, I wish you a Merry Christmas!
