This month’s digital kit, Revive, by Designs by Krista, was delightful to work with. It’s a collection of nine richly textured papers and a darling element set. I have used it to make four different pages that I am thrilled to add to my scrapbook collection. This first page features my grand-nephew at a reptile show. While the photo doesn’t contain the reptiles, you can see the fascination in his eyes, which is what led me to the pic’s caption. I also used just a tiny bit of the grid paper to make a little spot for a date.

One of my favorite aspects of digital scrapbooking (besides clean-up!) is the ability to use the pieces repeatedly and to be able to alter them to fit the page. In this page, which highlights my niece, I have re-colored the flower to yellow to give the page a light-hearted feeling and to contrast the blue paper. And I also used my favorite journaling tool – use a quote to express your feelings.

When my kids were little computers were brand new, especially for home use, so we didn’t have any digital photos. Instead I have shoe boxes full of old photos that I have started scanning and scrapping for books that I’m making for my kids. In this page, the photos are from 1985, my husband and kids are visiting Grandpa’s backyard. Reliving the memories is delightful!

And lastly, I’m making my own cookbook of favorite recipes and I used Revive for one of my favorite muffin recipes. The wooden spoon is mine – thanks so much to Designs by Krista for the fun! Enjoy!
