I have to go to work extra early tomorrow and I didn't want to be late with my blog post, so I'm loading it Wednesday night (hope you don't mind friends!) This month’s digi kit, Bloomin’ from our sponsor, Designs by Krista, is a bright and lively collection of papers and elements. I had a lot of fun playing with so much color. I’m a big picture kind of gal and I went a little crazy with this month’s pages. In this first layout, you see my Sis-in-law & I sporting our wild beach wear LOL! We were in Hawaii, so it’s all good (except for my orange feet!!)

In this layout, we took photos of the banner, the cake & the birthday girl at work and made her a little memory page for a present. I think this background complements all the different pieces nicely. And of course, I used my favorite trick of using a quote to express a feeling on the page.

These bright colors are adaptable to many different themes from holidays, parties, and of course, just day to day living. Here is a very simple photo of grandma and look how cute she is with her ice cream cone! By using drop shadows and buttons, it gives the page a lot of dimension (and she’s a pretty hip chick, too!)

And finally, a whimsical feel for a photo that may have been tossed in the pre-digi days. My DH loves to take pics of us by stretching out his arms. It’s kind of fun, huh! And these bright colors make us look extra happy! Thanks for letting me share with you today and have fun scrapping!

DT Challenge 3/16

This week's challenge is all about threes. We are in the third week of the third month so our recipe consists of three items of threes:
1. 3 Different Patterned Paper
2. 3 Different Embellishments
3. 3 Word Title.
You may use stickers, die cuts, chipboard, etc. for title and add card stock or ink to accent photos.
Here's my example. TFL!

Angela's March DT Reveal (post 1 of 2)

MARCH SPONSOR - PINECONE PRESS (Monthly kits Options featuring GARDEN PARTY)

PART TWO of my reveal.... The "Garden Party" patterned papers were perfect for making a "Happy Spring" mini album for a dear friend. I used pop dots on the large cut out flowers to use them as pockets on each page so that a packet of seeds could be placed into each one.

Amy's Design Team Reveal- PineCone Press

I absolutely adored working with all these cool, whimsical papers in the Garden Party kit by PineCone Press! Papers, punchouts, ribbon, flapbooks/cards & a terrific idea booklet to boot!

This month we received the Options Monthly Kit, Garden Party from our sponsor, Pinecone Press. You can find it here http://www.pineconepressdesign.com/main ... goryoid=21. The kit come with a wonderful full color magazine-like instruction guide filled with ideas, suggestions, and samples. Be sure to check out the Pincone Press site to see some more of their cute stuff as well as find some great sales on books! Thank you Pinecone Press for providing the great kits. Here's what I did with the Garden Party. TFL!

I love the bright colors of this line!

The 12 x 12 sheets of double sided pattern paper are divide into four 6 x 6 sections giving you a total of eight designs per sheet! One of the designs is the flower journaling block.
I cut out checkered frames from the flower journaling blocks to use as the matting for this LO.

The frame and tags are die-cuts from the kit. The flowers and stripes were cut from one of the pattern papers.

Love the birdies! No Garden Party is complete without them!

March Digital Reveal - Bloomin' !

Yes, it is time for the first of our March digi reveals, and this kit is a cutie called "Bloomin'." Krista, at Designs by Krista, remains our generous sponsor. She has cute, cute kits for low, low prices. If you are thinking about diving into digi, go to Krista first!

I love black backgrounds, don't you? This is a picture of my husband and myself at Christmas. We've been together almost 25 years. Wow, that makes me old. I piled up a lot of the elements from the kit to make a place for that picture to sit. The notebook alpha is by Emily Farnsworth, and the glitter blob is by Flergs.

This page shows the cool frames in this kit. There is a white and a black negative strip frame. I love, too, the scalloped edge paper and used it as a clipping mask with the retro geometric piece. Love the stitched felt flowers! The pretty alpha is by Raspberry Road Designs.

I really like this one of my Mary Beth growing up so fast! There are a few other credits on this page: ruler brush by Royanna Fritschman at Divine Digital, staple by Calalily Designs, doodled arrow by "I Made This Today" and alpha from Speed Freak freebie collab by Rebecca B and Kelly-Jo. (It's not free anymore, but it is only $2 and available HERE).

And finally, a page made with a template. I love templates, but often forget to use them. THis particular one is by Yin, and I love it because it has space for so many pictures. This one was quick to put together but makes a great statement.

I hope you enjoyed my pages made with Krista's Bloomin' kit. Visit her store at the link above; I promise you won't regret it!
