Make-Up Monday 12/6/10

What another wonderful week of challenges made here at CUC. We hope that you all are enjoying them just as much as we enjoy coming up with them. Hopefully you found plenty of inspiration from each and every challenge posted. Now, let's take a look back at the week:

On Tuesday Jen challenged us to emboss some metallic cardstock and then ink over the embossed image to make it look more like real tin. WOW! This was so cool looking and I really did have to do a double take to believe that it was paper and not actually metal that she used on her example:

Next on Wednesday I posed the challenge to pull out those old bottle caps and use them in a new way. In my sample cards I actually created a “scene” in the bottle cap and covered it with gloss glaze:

For Transformation Thursday Cassy shared a wreath she made in which she had added photographs to spice it up. Her challenge was to use photographs on holiday décor. How awesome of a challenge and a great way to use spare photos and add a personal touch to handmade items

On Friday, Shawna put the focus on foam alphabets. Most of us have accumulated a nice assortment of foam letters and Shawna challenges us to pull them out and use them on our projects.

On Saturday, Penny gave us a wonderful sketch that can be adapted to any day, not just the holidays:

And finally on Sunday Tabitha showed us how she was inspired by Melissa from Lily Bean to use tags on her cards. And I can definitely see why. Tabitha created a beautiful card to help inspire us:

Once again, as we gear up for another week of new challenges, we hope you are inspired by these that were posted this last week.
And please remember that the challenges posted Dec 1st –Dec 31st are the ones you need to create in order to get an entry into the drawing for the monthly prize. You must complete, and post into the gallery, at least 15 challenges to be entered. And if you choose to make cards for a challenge you MUST make 2 cards for that challenge in order for it to count toward the completion of that challenge.
Well, what are you waiting for…go get creative!
